A bit of sticky area when it comes to reliability as its a mixed bag of feedback and details. Whilst the site itself does not offer any stats on uptime, uptime guarantees, or any kind of information or details regarding there data centre location, they do state they have a Tier 1 facility offering full redundancy and 24/7 monitoring, but there is no mention of backups for shared hosting.
Adding to this, there are a lot of online reviews that talk about poor uptime, whilst other state they have received excellent uptime, so its a bit unstable to say the least.
If you arent too fussed about having a 99.5%+ uptime and are more interested in the features and affordability range, then I wouldnt worry.

Even the cheapest plans on offer with Domain.com come with some great features such as unlimited disk space and bandwidth, whilst the expensive tiered packages will offer a greater range of features from unlimited FTP accounts and email accounts. In terms of the variety of features, you won’t find many here as Domain.com tend to offer just the basics.
Even though CPanel is mentioned you can’t really see which plan this falls under or if it is a hidden cost. They actually have their own custom control panel which you will need to get accustomed to.

There are 3 different plans available under Windows and Linux setups, and each plan consists of some saving when you commit to longer periods. You can choose between 1,2 or 3 year terms and the cheapest option is the Linux Basic plan which starts off at $3.75 per month. If you are looking to take out a Windows hosted plan then you just need to add $1 to each plan, so the Basic Plan starts at $4.75 whilst the top plan comes in at $14.75 per month.

Support lines are pretty good with a solid service that offers phone, email, live chat and ticketing, but be aware live chat is only open for sales chatter so tech questions will need to be forwarded on through phone or email lines.
Domain.com: Be warned, website continuously offline
Be warned for domain.com everyone! Cheap prices but a large part of my website is offline in literally every update via the domain.com website builder tool. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. They often write that they just don’t know and in most cases close the chat due to inactivity (when you do not respond 2 minutes…) and then it starts over with another person (strong feeling it’s just 1 same person but different names as the type of handling and communication is very much the same) and over and over again and they suggest to skip the website update. Just a simple blog and product update which I cannot skip, super frustrating and I have customers!
I am moving away from domain.com as hosting provider and their malfunctioning website tools and horrible customer service. I should have known with low prices but as terrible as this should be illegal, domain.com looks like a scam.
I have been with domain.com for about 5 years maybe more. Today I find out technical support has been canceled. You can no long get help by phone. When you could get help by phone they were awesome! Now I am looking for a new hosting site. Any recommendations?
i bought a few domains from them and they never send me the email purchasing confirmation. There is no customer call center, chat room keeps you waiting for hours. They took the payment from my account for domains I have purchased but they saying the domain is not yours, so I put this as a complaint and they don't care also no response. btw the domains i bought from them were available on domain.com but were not available on GoDaddy, so guys please advise where to buy my domains. thanks
Website Builder and Domain have many issues when it comes to quality of the application. It is clear that there are not engineers maintaining or fixing defects on a regular basis. The technical knowledge of support is largely lacking, and I am going to begin looking to move everything to WordPress and possibly host on a different platform.
This company is the WORST! Lack of fixing a problem after hours of "chat" time. And by "chat" time I mean literal online chat and zero phone assistance. Horrific technical issues that they don't know how to resolve. Unless you want to waste countless productive hours, DO NOT use this company.
Be careful, they lock you in...you pay a price and suddenly they raise you twice the price...It's a hostage situation like godaddy...You have to run away from them or they will steal you at some point. I don't recommend all these companies that take advantage to increase their prices every year. domain.com to ban I do not want to deal with them.
