Bluehost sells email three separate ways, and it’s easy to end up on the wrong one. We cover Professional Email specifically, its plans, pricing, the free trial, and how to sign up, plus enough context on the other two options so you know you are looking at the right thing.
The steps below assume you already have a Bluehost account with hosting in place. If you have not signed up yet, our full Bluehost review walks through hands-on performance and support testing, and our Bluehost coupons page has current signup discounts to check before you buy.
Three Different Email Options, Not One
Inside your Account Manager’s Email tab, Bluehost splits email into three distinct paths:
- Professional Email, the paid product this guide covers, with its own dashboard, apps, and plan tiers
- Google Workspace, Google’s Gmail-based business email, resold through Bluehost
- cPanel Email, basic mailboxes included free with any hosting plan, managed through cPanel’s Email Accounts tool rather than a dedicated app

If you just want a free @yourdomain.com address with no extra cost and do not need a polished webmail interface or mobile app, cPanel Email is likely what you already have without needing to buy anything.
Professional Email is the step up from that. It’s a dedicated inbox experience, calendar, contacts, and support built specifically around business use.
What Professional Email Includes
Bluehost describes Professional Email as covering branded addresses matching your domain, role-based addresses (sales@, support@, info@), calendar and contacts in one place, spam and virus filtering, and access across webmail, mobile apps, and desktop email clients.
It’s built to be a more complete business inbox than a bare cPanel mailbox, with unlimited users available depending on plan and 24/7 phone, chat, and email support behind it, according to Bluehost’s own marketing materials.
Professional Email Runs on Titan
This is confirmed directly in Bluehost’s own FAQ that Professional Email is powered by Titan, a business email platform Bluehost resells and rebrands rather than building in-house.
This explains features like “Titan Drive” appearing in the plan lists below, and it means built-in migration tools, mailbox behavior, and app support all come from Titan’s underlying platform.

Good to know if you want to research the product further, since a lot of independent commentary on this email service exists under the Titan name rather than Bluehost’s.
Plans and Pricing
Professional Email comes in three tiers, priced per user per month, each building on the one below it:
- Professional Email (10 GB storage per user): covers the essentials, including calendar and contacts, a vacation responder, grammar and spell check, undo send, allowlist and block sender controls, and advanced anti-spam and anti-virus protection. Limited to 10 read receipts, 1 email template, and 1 contact group
- Professional Email Plus (50 GB storage, plus 1 GB Titan Drive): adds unlimited read receipts, templates, and contact groups, along with send later, follow-up reminders, two-factor authentication, priority inbox, email labels, team chat, and task management
- Professional Email Ultra (100 GB storage, plus 50 GB email backup and 50 GB Titan Drive): adds AI-powered tools including Email AI and AI Summary, a signature designer, file and link tracking, email campaign tools, calendar bookings, and an invoice builder
Pricing follows the same introductory-versus-renewal structure common across Bluehost’s other products.
On a 12-month term, checked live: Professional Email starts at $1.67 per user per month and renews at $2.50, Plus starts at $2.50 and renews at $4.17, and Ultra starts at $5.83 and renews at $9.17.
A live example checkout for Professional Email Plus at one user showed $29.99 charged for the first year, renewing at $49.99, confirming the same roughly 65 to 70 percent renewal increase pattern seen across the promotional-to-standard pricing tiers.
Tip: The pricing page lets you set your team size upfront and updates the total instantly, so check the actual per-user cost at your own team size before assuming the lowest advertised rate applies. Adding users changes the total, not just the per-user figure shown by default.
The Free Trial
Bluehost bundles a 30-day free trial of Professional Email with new Shared, WordPress, or eCommerce hosting purchases, defaulting to the entry-level plan.
But there are a few conditions you need to know:
- The trial is only available when purchasing hosting, not if you only buy a domain
- It lasts one month, after which you need to upgrade to a paid plan to keep using it
- It is not available as a separate signup outside of a hosting purchase
How to Sign Up
There are two different starting points depending on whether you already have a Bluehost account.
If you are already a Bluehost customer, go to the Professional Email landing page and click Choose a Plan, or go to your Account Manager’s Email tab and select Professional Email directly.
From there you pick your tier and team size and proceed to checkout using your existing account and payment method on file.
Here is the actual sequence:
- Start on the Professional Email landing page and click Choose a Plan. Existing customers can also reach the plans page directly through the Account Manager’s Email tab

- Set your team size and pick a tier on the pricing page, then click Select on the plan you want
- Choose a domain for the new address. Register a new domain on the spot, or click Choose Domain Later if you already own one and plan to connect it separately. Watch for Add Domain Privacy + Protection being pre-checked by default on this screen, the same pattern seen elsewhere in Bluehost’s signup flows. Uncheck it here if you do not want that add-on

- New customers create a Bluehost account at this point, before reaching checkout. If you already have an account and are logged in, this step is skipped and you move straight through
- Checkout, where you review your cart (plan, term, and user count), confirm or add a billing method, and click Submit Payment

The step new customers most often miss is step 4. If you do not already have a Bluehost account, expect to create one between choosing your domain and reaching the final checkout screen, rather than assuming the process ends the moment you pick a plan.
Setting Up Access After Purchase
Once purchased, log in to your Bluehost Account Manager, click Email in the left sidebar, select the Professional Email tab, and click Login to Webmail.

Enter your new email address and password on the login page that follows to reach your Professional Email dashboard.

Migrating From Another Provider
If you are moving from Gmail, Outlook, or another provider, Bluehost offers a dedicated migration path through Titan’s built-in import tools, letting you bring over existing emails and contacts rather than starting from an empty inbox.
Set this up early if you are switching providers, since re-pointing your MX record to Professional Email means new mail arrives there immediately, but historical messages need this separate import step to come along with it.
