VPS was assigned an IP address recently used by spammers
I purchased a VPS in November, which was confusing because you must deposit a certain amount to unlock some tiers of servers. This isn’t clearly explained in the UI, and I noticed others raising the same issue.
My VPS was assigned a recently recycled IP address that had been used by an email spammer days prior. While I don't use mail services whatsoever, the IP’s poor reputation caused third-party OAuth logins (Patreon) to be throttled, resulting in timeouts and a poor user experience for my customers, forcing me to migrate to a new VPS provider shortly after.
Please ensure IP addresses are properly checked across multiple reputation and spam databases before being reissued. The IP I received was still listed in two databases less than two weeks before assignment.
Overall, this created a very poor first-time experience. I will give +1 star for timely customer service responses, even if the rest of the experience wasn't great.
Obvious most of the reviews are Fake. There is NO responds on ticket for 48 HOURS. Worst service I have ever met. Wondering how all the good thumb-up comes from ?
I do not recommend this hosting provider. Problems started already on the second day after the purchase of services. I can not connect to the server, they did not provide a host or IP until now. Not friendly, worst support. Support can be answered as follows: "not our fault if you are unable to use a VPS, we don't even provide support for this, we did an exception for you". Do not give answers and just close tickets to support - This is gross disrespect. This is gross disrespect
Absolutely awful service. They just casually changed the ip of the server without contacting me and I can't even access the server with the new ip. Customer support replies with "You should have checked your email" - yeah they sent me one when they already changed it. Moreover there has been random downtimes. Definitely not recommended.
We have a long-term relationship with UK1Host and they have been our preferred provider of web hosting services for some time now. Support tickets are consistently responded to within 5-10mins with resolutions completed very quickly. The team are polite, professional and care about their clients.
We have a number of virtual private servers, web hosting plans and domain names registered at uk1host and have no plans to choose an alternative provider.
