Now here’s the scary part all web hosts have. After one year, the price reverts to the original price, almost twice the starting price.

VPS Hosting

Who wouldn’t jump at enterprise-grade SSD drives, Litespeed caching with Virtuozzo and KVM technology? The VPS pricing plans may be slightly higher than other providers, but the features offered are worth the investment. The 1000 Mbit/s means your website will remain fast and stable even at peak traffic levels.

Dedicated Hosting

The professional plan comes with an intel Pentium processor, which is an excellent option if you’re just starting with dedicated hosting. Higher plans come with Intel Xeon processors, perfect for game servers like Minecraft or high-traffic sites.

Reseller Hosting

Whether you’re just starting selling web hosting solutions, or you’re a pro with an already established clientele, you’ll find the right reseller package for you on StableHost. They recommend the Basic plan for newbies, and this comes with a 20 GB SSD storage space, Litespeed PHP caching for improved performance, daily automatic backups, and a website builder.

WordPress hosting

For each plan, you’ll get access to unlimited bandwidth, SSH access, pre-installed plugins, over 10000 themes to choose from, WP 1-click installation and many more. Like other packages, I advise you to start with the smallest plan if you are hosting a personal website. But opt for the platinum plan if you’re a blogger with high traffic.

One of the features that resonated well with me is the shared hosting plans. Not all web hosts provide unlimited disk space and bandwidth, free domain, free SSL certificates, SSH access, or even withstand up to 300k monthly visitors on a shared hosting plan. From a beginner’s standpoint, the smallest web hosting plan gives you all the features I need for building a solid online presence.

The features you’ll get on the higher plans will save you a fortune later. Each package comes with root access and SSH…not to mention the level 3 technical support assigned to you.

Another fantastic benefit is that, for an extra fee, you can get experts to manage the website on your VPS servers. This comes with VPS cPanel, 10 hours of management and support, troubleshooting email or basic script problems, and many more.

Performance

Like other providers, StableHost claims to be dedicated to providing reliable and scalable hosting solutions at an affordable price. But how true is this?

StableHost guarantees a 99.9% uptime for websites hosted on their platform. This means your business will be up and running at all times (except for moments of maintenance.)

I tested for speed and response time using GTMetrix. I used wwazman.com, a website hosted on StableHost, to verify their claims, and here are the results.

The website loaded quickly, taking 639 ms, still within the 3.21s average standard. This means a higher ranking and conversion rate for your website.

The TTFB (Time to the first byte) was impressive at 137 ms!  This is because they recently replaced the Apache servers with LiteSpeed, which is almost 6X faster:

StableHost offers all users four types of support: phone, email, support ticket, and knowledge base. Let’s discuss each in detail.

The customer support line is available for all regions. I was charged for the call, so expect call charges if you live outside the US. Although they didn’t specify this on their website:

Creating an account on StableHost can get tiring. This is because they do a lot of evaluations to verify your identity. To register for their services, check the top right corner. Here, you’ll find the major hosting services they offer:

Once you’ve found the perfect package, click on the green button to order. You’ll be redirected to register a new domain. You can choose to transfer your domain if you’re currently hosting your website on another provider:

After checking out, I noticed StableHost added the AlphaSSL certificate to my cart. Suppose you don’t like the recommended add-ons; delete them. They have flexible payment options, too – PayPal, Credit cards, etc. Choose your billing format and click the ‘continue to check out’ button below:

StableHost Control Panel

StableHost uses the regular cPanel as its control panel. Once you log into your account, check the left-side menu and click cPanel. Here’s what it looks like:

I love StableHost UI; the design is clean and simple. The icons are neatly placed, making them easy to navigate. Overall, I found it intuitive and easy to use. But compared to other providers, I suggest they need an upgrade.

Installing WordPress on StableHost

To add an email account to your website with StableHost, log into your cPanel and locate the ‘Softaculous app installer.’ Then, click the ‘WordPress’ icon and then ‘install.’ You’ll get two installation options: quick and custom install. Click ‘custom install.’

Next, choose your preferred domain name for your WordPress account. Once done, fill in your admin details. Add your email, password, and username. For verification, you’ll be required to add an email at the bottom of the page:

Then, hit install. You’ll get a confirmation email after a few minutes.

Add an email account with StableHost

To add your email account, log onto the cPanel and click the ‘email’ icon. Then, click the ‘create’ button. By default, your domain appears but if you manage more than one domain, select the domain for the email you’re creating.

Next, add your username (the email name you intend to use) and password. Proceed to the storage section and choose your size – MB, GB, or TB. Once done, ‘click create.’

Do we recommend StableHost?

I was pretty impressed with StableHost during my evaluation of their services. The only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t offer fully managed web hosting services. Users without technical knowledge may find managing VPS and dedicated hosting plans challenging. And despite that they have excellent customer support, I firmly believe the response time needs to be improved.

I recommend StableHost to anyone looking for a web host with all-in-one website management tools. The 99.9% uptime, blazing speed, user-friendliness, and world-class technology are enough to compel anyone to opt-in for any of their services.
