Servers don't last, and you pay again for every IP change, even a dead one
I was a HostZealot customer from late September to November 2026, with several KVM-NVMe VPS in Warsaw, Amsterdam and London. My users are in Russia. I...
am updating my earlier positive review after this experience. What happened: - The IP addresses of my VPS kept becoming unreachable from Russia, usually within 1-3 days. Every time support answered that blocking in Russia is outside their control and that a new IP is a paid service. - So I paid for IP changes again and again: at least four times at EUR 4-4.50 each, plus EUR 5 for a location change, on top of the server rent. - Several "new" addresses were already blocked at the moment I received them. My last paid swap (1 November) gave an address that did not work from the very first minute. I asked for a working address instead, without a second charge. Support refused and asked me to pay again. - During the location change my old server was deleted before I confirmed I was ready, although I had asked them to wait. Data written after my last backup was lost. - On the new server support had added nine staff SSH keys to root's authorized_keys without asking me. Pros: tickets are answered quickly and politely; once (24 October) they replaced two bad IPs for free. Cons: servers don't live, every IP change is paid, and a dead address you paid for is your loss. I did not renew. Not recommended, especially if your users are in Russia or the CIS.

NO Refunds
This has been, without exaggeration, one of the most infuriating, stressful, and financially damaging experiences I’ve ever had with any service**and ...
I’m stunned this company is still in business. They have a laughably rigid "no refunds after 45 days" policy, even if you're left with NINE MONTHS of unusable time on your account. Imagine paying for something long-term, only for the provider to completely fail on their endand then smugly deny you a refund. It's not just unethicalit's predatory. The server performance is absolutely abysmal. It feels like a ticking time bomb. Their servers go down every five damn minutes. I wish that were an exaggeration. You can’t run a business, host clients, or even keep a basic webpage online with this level of instability. And the worst part? They know it. They’ve been told. And they’ve done NOTHING. This isn’t just about downtime. This is about the destruction of trust, time, and business. Their constant outages directly led to the suspension of both my Google Ads and Google Merchant Center accounts. Do you have any idea what kind of hell it is trying to recover from that? The appeals, the explanations, the hours of writing emails and making calls just to prove that you didn’t do anything wrongit was your provider. I’ve lost revenue, credibility, and sleep over this. I’ve spent countless hours troubleshooting problems that weren’t mine to begin with fighting fires started by their failures. The psychological stress of watching your business crumble over something you can't control is unbearable. It’s anxiety. It’s helplessness. It’s rage. And above all, it's betrayal because I trusted them to deliver a basic, functional service. And what do you get when you raise these issues? Nothing. Silence. Or worse copy-pasted excuses from support agents who clearly don’t care and won’t lift a finger to help. If you value your business, your sanity, or even just basic decency, stay as far away from this company as possible. They’re not just unreliable they’re dangerous to your operations and reputation.
