Seems cheap at first, they never tell you of the expensive extras.
FastHosts will lure you in with what appear to be great offers.
They seldom live up to expectations.
1. Sudden increases in price - monthly subscrip
...tions tie you in and suddenly jump in price from £1 to ≈£25.
2. Unclear communication - I had a support ticket open for 3 months with zero response from "Fast"hosts. Status was "awaiting response". When this was pointed out to them, their response was "we view support tickets as more like notes than support tickets." And then sneekily marked the ticket "closed".
3. Unclear pricing - I received documents from them that said some services cost £0 per month, with no indication they were putting up that price to £23.
4. No contracts sent to emails - but they will claim they did.
All in all I think FastHosts have really dropped in standards to the point where I would recommend using a more reliable supplier to anyone with them or thinking of joining them.
They're currently providing no service to me, poor response to customers, make their money from what is generally called "subscription scam" and trying to take yet more money from me.
Be aware of their "expensive add-on" Modus operandi, e.g. £40 for an SSL.
